the holy bible = the joy of gay sex
Writing by burn on Friday, 20 of October , 2006 at 3:27 pm
a friend of mine once stated that he would never use the new international version (NIV) of the holy bible, because the company who translated the NIV and distributed the NIV also distributes “the joy of gay sex”
Zondervan is the publisher of the NIV translation… and what he said struck me as odd because i have only known of zondervan publishing extreamly evangelical books like the purpose driven life, where’s god when it hurts, and the student bible.
zondervan is the founder of Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) for christs sake….
so today i decided i would site down and attempt to figure out whether or not this man was mis-informed
he sorta was, and he sorta wasnt….
isnt it always like that.
in 1931 Zondervan Publishing House was founded by brothers Pat and Bernie Zondervan at the family farmhouse in Grandville, Michigan.
in 1970 they became a publicly held company who then partnered with the International bible society in 1971, at the same time they opened “the family christian bookstore”. the same christian chain store you will now find in every town accross america.
in 1998 they were bought by Harper & Row (now named HarperCollinsPublishers, a News Corp. company).
this is where you have to use your imagination alittle.
news corp (which owns HarperCollinsPublishers) also ownes Avon books
Avon books distributes “the joy of sex” as well as other homo and hetero sexual books, the satanic bible, and all other church of satan publishings
so
a company owned by the company that ownes the company that holds publishing rights to the NIV distributes gay lit…..
big fucking deal
its should also be noted that NewsCorp ownes these companies

Can’t you see the immense contradiction?
First of all I don’t feel anyone should own the rights to the word of God (the Bible) or any of its translations. As far as i’m concerned it is free press. The whole idea of profit through God’s word is laughable to me. Perhaps selling a study guide or insight into scripture is a way to make a living or feed the needs of a company but even then its somewhat un-Christian isn’t it. Information about the Lord should be free and passed on generously in my estimation and understanding of the Bible (the Word of God).
Anyways
It’s a scary thought to know that I bought a Bible owned by a corporation (an inherently evil entity anyways - strictly profit motivated) which also publishes satanic material through a different company owned under its vast umbrella of businesses.
I do reject the NIV and other new age bibles now in light of information brought forward by Gail Riplinger. She has worked on a presentation/book entitled ‘New Age Bible Versions’, which I strongly encourage you to check out. Strictly speaking, her comparison of the King James Version vs. [New Age Bibles] cannot be dismissed. It’s profound.
I personally have already boycotted FOX news though I do like some of their movies (Aliens in particular is in my top5 id say). FOX news is clearly an inflammatory new organization bent on subversion of the public. Rupert Murdock is some piece of work for sure.
“zondervan is the founder of Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) for christs sake….”

Nothing like this really matters does it? You could be the founder of anything, it’s in the substance of what you do not the title. I’d also encourage you not to take the Lord’s name in vain. When we stub our toe or our anger rises we curse out! F#5@ SH#$ DAM# !! and such.. this is not good anyways to be sure but to take the Lord’s name and CURSE it.. Its not good brother. I wish I could qoute scripture off the top of my head to let you know exactly where in the Bible is says that it is a *SIN* to do this but my journey with the Lord’s Teaching is just beginning.
-for Gail Riplingers-New Age Bible Versions Divx please check the EMULE file sharing program. I am uploading it to all I can as fast as I can.
Ill check for response from you. Always interested in dialogue and feedback myself. Your breakdown of the owner/publishers of the NIV was very good too.
Cheers and God Bless Brotha.
John.

deut, 5:11 (rsv)
“You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.”
bone up alittle on your verses…. its one of the ten commandments for christs sake
now… on to everything else
#1 “Information about the Lord should be free and passed on generously in my estimation and understanding of the Bible”
tell that to your preacher
#2 “It’s a scary thought to know that I bought a Bible owned by a corporation (an inherently evil entity anyways - strictly profit motivated) which also publishes satanic material through a different company owned under its vast umbrella of businesses.”
when will you people get it… this is a stupid argument
every company is owned by some other company.
this is like saying
“i will not watch the cartoon network, because it is owned by aol, which is owned by time warner, which owns mad magazine, a magazine that has in the past has done nothing but make fun of god and his followers”
#3 “I do reject the NIV and other new age bibles now in light of information brought forward by Gail Riplinger”
i would point out the half truths, out of context and broken quotations, ill facts and outright lies told by gail in her books… but that would take way to much time
#4 “Nothing like this really matters does it? You could be the founder of anything, it’s in the substance of what you do not the title.”
this only proves to me that you should read about an organization before you comment on them
